About

I'm an artist and illustrator based in Brighton, South East England. I love to draw and paint, creating work both from life, and from imagination. I work across a variety of mediums, including but not limited to oils, digital painting, ink, printmaking, and good old pencil-to-paper drawing.

Before going into art, I studied physics at university. Sometime after this, I decided to start learning to draw independently. In 2016 I began oil painting and attending life drawing sessions at Draw Brighton, going on to attend Draw's year-long atelier course. Besides my painting and illustration work, I have run life drawing sessions at Draw since 2017 and started to teach regularly in the following year, as well as running workshops on imaginative drawing, and various others on drawing and painting.

Since 2018 I have been painting more frequently in oils, over a variety of subjects, and have exhibited in the New England House Open Studios. In illustration, I create realistic imaginary work across a variety of mediums, an interest fuelled by regular life drawing and painting from life. In 2019 my illustration work expanded to anatomy and life drawing with a series of articles for Paint and Draw magazine.

Currently I am working with Draw Brighton to deliver online tutored life drawing classes for those who cannot attend life drawing sessions due to the covid-19 outbreak.
